Drawing St Peter Port

A two hour workshop looking at the waterfront using pencils, charcoal, pastel, chalk, pen and ink, graphite and sanguine. Concentrating on shape, form and tone we will demystify the drawing process in a fun way. Suitable for all ages and abilities, £18, 10am-12.00 on Sunday June 15th (perfect present for all the stressed dads out there). Meet in the lobby at the Information Centre with a collapsible chair and drawing board.

Landscape painting course well under way

Once again this course is proving to be a source of high energy and creativity for everyone involved; possibly because the light changes so quickly at this time of year and everyone has to make a snap decision with colour and just put it down which is really cathartic sometimes.

Educational visit to Hautes Cappelles Primary

Last week I took a couple of my oil paintings from the series “La Bienheureuse Ile Sainte” into the local primary school and had a really good question and answer session with the children on the local folklore stories and what it is like to be an artist. They were all really smart, motivated kids and it was an absolute pleasure to be there.
